Notice from Pudong Traffic Police Department

Dear Parents,

To further ensure traffic safety and maintain smooth traffic flow around the school, the Pudong Traffic Police Department would like to remind all parents and students that every road user shares the responsibility of maintaining a safe and orderly traffic environment.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in the following areas when picking up and dropping off your children:

1. Proper bicycle riding
   When riding bicycles, please use non-motor vehicle lanes, do not compete with motor vehicles for road space, and do not ride against traffic.

2. Mandatory helmet use for electric bikes
   Parents and students must wear safety helmets of appropriate size and meeting safety standards when riding electric bicycles to and from school, and ensure the helmet is properly fastened. Violations of these will be subject to penalties.

3. Compliance with age-related riding regulations

   1. Electric bicycles may carry only one minor aged 12 or above.

   2. Minors under the age of 12 are not allowed to ride bicycles or shared bikes.

   3. Minors under the age of 16 are not permitted to operate electric bicycles.

4. Safe behavior when traveling by private vehicle
   When picking up or dropping off students by car, parents and children are requested to wear seat belts properly at all times. Please follow a “stop-and-go” approach, avoid U-turns, and do not remain parked at the school gate for extended periods. Parents are also encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible.
