Concordia Parents Team Triumphs at Badminton Tournament

The Concordia Parents Badminton Team showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the recent 5th Shanghai International School and Bilingual School Badminton Tournament held on November 5th. Hosted by Dulwich Puxi, this event saw participation from 24 schools and approximately 354 participants, making it a competitive and spirited gathering of badminton enthusiasts.

Among the distinguished schools present were SAS PX, SAS PD, DCSPX, DCSPD, SMIC, SHSID, Pinghe, Vanke, SJS PX, SJS PD, NACIS, BISS, Da Ning International, WCIS, LFS, YK Pao, YCIS, and others, alongside our own Concordia team.

Dedicated Concordia Parents

Twenty-one dedicated Concordia parents took on the challenge, investing time and effort outside their busy schedules to prepare for this event. Their commitment and perseverance were truly commendable. The team consisted of Isabella Wong, Eddy Wong, Leon Jiang, Richard Deng, Lucy Xiao, Even Li, Bobo Li, Bulin Chao, Tony Cai, Echo Zhang, Haze Zhou, Vikram Ahuja, Christine Tang, Lulu Zheng, Ling Lai, Angela So, Coco Sukhyun Park, Amy Li, Angus Leung, Cedar Chen, Sunny Li, and May as our volunteer.

Exceptional Performances

The Concordia Parents Badminton Team displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Notable achievements included 1st Place in Mixed Doubles by Isabella and Richard, 1st Place in Men's Doubles by Eddy Wong and Leon, and 3rd Place in Women's Doubles by Lucy and Haze. Additionally, Even and Bulin secured 8th Place in Men's Doubles, and Echo and Tony claimed another 8th Place in Mixed Doubles.

Championship Victory

Despite facing stiff competition, our team excelled, with many players advancing to the top 8 in their respective categories. Ultimately, the Concordia Parents Badminton Team emerged victorious, bringing home the Championship Cup Trophy with the highest number of wins, a testament to their skill and teamwork.
