Cheering Each Other On
High School Visitors
This week, we were excited to welcome our High School seniors back into Early Childhood classrooms for their second visit, continuing to build meaningful connections with our youngest learners. Through shared activities, conversations, and time together, these cross-division experiences help EC students feel confident and supported, while also giving our seniors opportunities to model leadership, kindness, and care. It’s a wonderful example of how our community grows stronger when students of all ages learn and connect together.
APAC Table Tennis
Our Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten students had the joy of supporting our school spirit by cheering on APAC table tennis! With colorful posters, enthusiastic cheers, and lots of excitement, students showed what it means to encourage others and be proud members of the Concordia community. These experiences help our young learners understand teamwork, encouragement, and the joy of supporting one another.

Parent Tip of the Week
Kindness doesn’t mean getting it right all the time. In families, moments of disconnection, frustration, and misunderstanding are part of everyday life. What matters most is how we reconnect.
In Positive Discipline, we talk about the power of repair. Repair is what happens after a hard moment—when we pause, reconnect, and restore the relationship. It might sound like:
“That was a tough moment. I still love you.”
“I didn’t like how we spoke to each other. Let’s try again.”
“We both had big feelings. What could help next time?”
These moments teach children that relationships are safe, even when mistakes happen. They learn that kindness includes taking responsibility, listening, and trying again.
This week, notice opportunities to model repair—with your child, your partner, or even yourself. Each repair strengthens trust and shows children that kindness grows through honesty and connection.
