Graduation Updates - For Senior Parents

We are moving ever closer to our May 30th graduation date.  We look forward to this wonderful celebration of our students as they reach this next milestone in their lives.

There will be an email with additional information for this event coming early next week that will include more specific details.  This will provide an update and some information in order to plan for the upcoming events. 

Due to the Senior Sunrise and early start, the Senior students are reminded to pack their cap and gown and shoes for gradutation the night before as they are required to wear these on Thursday during some of the activities.  Watch for additional details and information shared via email early next week.

The following are our annual events held for our Seniors as part of graduation:

Thursday, May 29th

Senior Sunrise - 5:00 am

The senior students wake up early to enjoy a sunrise on the Concordia Field as a class.  The seniors will arrive on campus as early as 5:00 am to watch the sunrise together on the field.  

Senior Parade - 8:30 am start time

As a new addition to our school this year, we will have the senior students parade through the school, led by Principal Ms. Berntson and Assistant Principal Mr. Hill, to connect with familiar spaces and faces as the whole school celebrates their achievement.  All seniors will need to bring their cap and gown to campus in the morning so they can wear it with pride as they travel through the school.  

Baccalaureate Service - 9:00 am approximate start

This service of the HS Community celebrates the Graduates and all they have given to our community.  Family members of graduates are invited to attend this ceremony in the HS Gym.

HS Student Award Ceremony - following the Baccalaureate Service

HS Students of all gradew are recognized for thei achievement in academics, service, and co-curricular activities.  Parent will be informed via email if their children will receive an award, and these parents have been invited to the ceremony in the HS Gym.

BBQ - 11:30 am approximate start (Seniors arrive at approximately 11:00 am)

Our PSO is again hosting our annual end of the school year BBQ for the High School. This will take place on Founders Field as we celebrate the final day with our Seniors on campus.

Graduation Rehearsal - 1:00 pm start time

Seniors are required to attend graduation rehearsal in the HE Gym.  We hope to be finished by 3:00 pm though it may take a bit longer.  All seniors are required to bring the shoes they will be walking in for graduation to practice in.

Friday, May 30th

Graduation Commencement - Commencement begins at 1:30 pm in the HS Gym

Eighty - five students from the Class of 2025 will graduate during commencement exercises.  The Senior Class has selected Dr. Yuji Fujiwara to be the faculty speaker.  Amy Wang was selected to be the student speaker. Graduates are require to be at school by 12:00 pm on the day.  The campus will be open for Senior and Family photos at 10:45 am.  Please enter through the Welcome Center on the day of the event.

Graduation Dinner - 6:00 pm start time

The Senior Parents have prepared the Graduation Celebration at the Regent Hotel following the Commencement Ceremony.  The event will start at 6:00 pm.  A bus will be available to take students and parents directly to the Regent from school. We look forward to seeing then!
