Grade 9 Growth and Learning
This semester has been a period of significant growth and learning for our 9th-grade class. Along with excelling academically, our students have had the opportunity to participate in their first High School Tribes, APAC events, and school plays, to name a few. The freshman class has also been taking full advantage of opportunities to define their new roles, stepping into leadership positions in student council, participating in the CISSMUN secretariat, and serving as advisor representatives among their peers.
As is often the case with 9th grade, much of the growth occurs in the second half of the year, as students become familiar with expectations, adjust to class tempo, and navigate the challenges of new experiences with greater ease. We are now well into the second semester, with a whole new set of experiences ahead, including season three sports, upcoming play productions, and fine arts competitions.
As we continue to encourage and challenge our 9th graders in their growth, we also invite you to engage with your student. Ask about what they are doing in advisory, class and activities. Inquire into their service work, team actives and small group discussions. As we continue this year, we look forward to continuing to grow well together as a class and community.
