High School Updates and Information for Jan 17 to February 14th

January is chock full of events for the high school.  With JPAC, APAC, VEX Robotics, Table Tennis, and MUN events happening this month, our students are busy.  We hope that you are able to get out and support our student athletes as they participate in the many on and off campus events this month.  

We thank those of you who attended the Alumni Panel with our graduates from 2013 to 2024.  They were very excited to present to you and shared a great deal of useful information. We also thank those of you who attended the HS Parent Connect.  Watch for information on Friday from the principal's message regarding Parent Connect and other important updates.

Save the Date! Curriculum Information Evening, Thursday, February 13th

Mark you calendars for Thursday, February 13th at 5:30 pm.  Students and parents in grades 8 to 11 are asked to attend the Curriculum Information Evening.  This will be an opportunity for our teachers to share information about course opportunities with students in all grades and their parents.  Watch for more information coming soon.

  • February 13th - High School Course Presentation in the HS Gym and PC Commons
  • February 14 - 16th - CISS Model United Nations on Campus (no school on Friday Feb. 14)
  • February 20 - 22: APAC Band and Theater and VEX Robotics at IST

High School Career Day - In Review

Thank you to all of the presenters who took time to share their careers with the students on January 14th.  Our student always enjoy hearing about potential careers from those who are working in the industry.  These opportunities allow our students to expand their minds and consider new options in the future.

A huge thank you to our HS Office Staff Ms. Polly Zhang and Ms. Joey Jin for organizing the event and supporting our guests.  Thank you to our student ambassadors and Ms. Lucia Hu for their work with our guests.  

APAC Season 2 Tournament Starts Monday, January 20th

Our Season 2 APAC tournaments start on Monday, January 20th. We are very excited to be hosting the Boys and Girls Basketball tournaments at Concordia.  Our Table Tennis teams are competing at SAS Pudong at the same time. Finally, our Swim Team is travelling to Brent International School in Manila. We look forward to supporting all of our athletes at these tournaments and look forward to hearing about their successes.

Chinese New Year Assembly on Friday, January 24th at 8:30 am

Parent are encouraged to join us for our Chinese New Year Assembly on Friday, January 24th in the PC Gym at 8:30 am.  This is an annual celebration held by Concordia to honor and celebrate this important time of the school year.

Save the Date for Curriculum Information Night: Thursday, February 13th

Save the evening of Thursday, February 13th starting at 5:30 pm for our Curriculum Infomation Night.  This event is for students and their parents in grades 8 to 11.  Our High School teachers will be available to answer questions about the curriculum for students entering grade 9 -12 next school year.  Please plan on attending and learning more about the curricular choices in the coming school year.
