PSO Weekly Update - Sept. 20
1. SOUTHEAST ASIA COMMUNITY GATHERING
Southeast Asia parents community had a welcome lunch on 5 Sept. Concordia has a vibrant Southeast Asia community with families from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Philippines, and alumni parents too. SEA parents had lunch to celebrate the start of a new school year, catch up and discuss activities for this year. We look forward to more SEA new families joining our fun loving united group!

2. TAIWANESE FAMILIES GATHERING
Welcome Lunch for New Taiwanese Families to join the Concordia Community.

On Sep 13, Friday, Concordia Taiwanese group members had a lunch to welcome 3 families to join our group.
During the gathering, parents had good interactions and shared new positive changes of Concordia regarding new leadership, fine-tuned lunch menu and trip plans of HS outings, as well as Phoenix sports competition results.
We had good conversations and enjoyed the nice food. We cannot wait to meet more parents and have joint activities together.
3. KOREAN COMMUNITY ASSEMBLY
To mark the start of the new school year, Concordia Korean parents gathered together. While enjoying coffee and tea, we greeted each other, and the assembly of Korean parents began in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The assembly started with introductions of the newly appointed leadership team and grade representatives for the 2024-2025 school year. New families who joined this year were also introduced and welcomed with flowers. In addition, the Korean teachers at Concordia were introduced, and there was time for them to personally greet the group.
The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the numerous events from the 2023-2024 school year and to discuss the tasks for the Korean community in the upcoming year.
With a lucky draw and a variety of generous gifts exchanged, it was a great opportunity to strengthen the unity of the Korean community.
4. EXPLORER CLUB
On September 19th, Concordia Explorer club held the first event of this semester! We are honored to have one of the top 10 art influencers in China to give a lecture on Egyptian civilization. Over 80 parents attended the event, and enjoyed this learning experience!
