Phoenix Triumph: High Schoolers Capture ACAMIS China VEX Robotics Crown
Over the past weekend, our VEX Robotics team captured the ACAMIS China Finals national title on our home campus and another team is currently ranked No.1 globally in the world VEX Skills standings. What an extraordinary day to be a Phoenix!
Over February 6–7, Concordia hosted the ACAMIS China National Finals for VEX V5 and VEX IQ, bringing together 101 qualifying teams from 29 international schools across the Chinese mainland for a true championship experience. With rigorous judging, competitive match play, and an environment that brought out the best in every team, it was a world-class tournament that highlighted excellence in STEM, collaboration, and engineering design.
In VEX V5, Concordia’s senior team 13212A (“Shld Be Chill”) captured the Tournament Champions title by winning the elimination bracket and also earned the Judges Award for exemplary attributes that stood out to the judges.

Our freshmen team 13212D (“SixSeven”) delivered an outstanding all-around performance as Tournament Finalists, Robot Skills Champion, and Think Award winner, recognized for top skills execution and strong, consistent programming with effective autonomous play. Youth knows no fear!
A remarkable milestone further defines their season: at the time of this post, SixSeven is listed No. 1 in the world on the Robot Skills standings, a distinction that reflects world-class performance by Concordia students. This standing places them on a clear championship pathway, with the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis (April 2026) within reach.

We want to thank everyone who made this event unforgettable, especially our student competitors, coaches, parent and student volunteers (including some of our alumni), and judges! We would also like to thank Unitree Robotics, who wowed the audience at the opening ceremony with an exciting and inspirational robotic performance.
This is about more than victory. It’s the result of relentless curiosity, countless hours of practice, and a community committed to excellence in every endeavor. From engineering labs to international platforms, our students are writing their own chapters in Concordia’s story. Way to go, Phoenix!
