Message from Head of School
Welcome to Shanghai and to Concordia International School Shanghai for APAC Cross Country!
We are glad you are here.
APAC is a special opportunity for students from across our region to compete, build relationships, and represent their schools with pride. Cross Country requires courage, perseverance, discipline, teamwork, and the willingness to keep going when the course gets difficult.
At Concordia, we believe students grow best when they are known, cared for, and held to high expectations. We want young people to pursue excellence, encourage one another, and develop the character to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Our word this year is Belong. Belonging means being part of a community where people know you, value you, challenge you, and care about who you are becoming. APAC gives us a wonderful opportunity to experience that kind of community together.
While you are here, we hope you experience what makes Concordia special: high expectations, love and care, and a strong sense of belonging.
Run courageously. Pursue your personal best. Encourage generously. Enjoy the experience.
Welcome to Concordia, and welcome to APAC Cross Country!

Message from High School Principal
Welcome to Concordia International School Shanghai and to APAC Cross Country 2026!
We are very happy to have you with us at Concordia.
Events like this are an important part of the high school experience. They give students a chance to challenge themselves and to be part of something beyond the regular school day. They also create memories that often stay with students long after the season is over.
For the athletes, this championship is also a chance to put months of training to the test. Every early practice, difficult run, and kilometer logged has helped prepare you for this moment. Cross country asks a great deal of its athletes because there is nowhere to hide from the challenge of the course. It takes determination and mental toughness to keep going when things get difficult and confidence to trust the work you have already done.
At the same time, APAC is about more than finishing times and places. How we compete matters. We hope to see athletes encouraging their teammates, respecting their competitors, and representing their schools well. Great sportsmanship is part of what makes these events meaningful and helps create the strong sense of community that is so important within APAC.
As you spend time at Concordia, I hope you feel the warmth of our community. We are proud to host this event and excited to welcome schools from across the region to our campus and city. Our community looks forward to cheering you on and helping make this a memorable experience.
Welcome to Concordia, and best wishes for a great APAC experience!

Message from Director of Student Activities and Sport
Welcome to Shanghai and Concordia International School Shanghai for APAC Cross Country!
Cross Country is a unique sport. Athletes push themselves to compete, contribute to their team, and pursue personal-best performances, while sharing the challenge of the varied course terrain with runners from across our APAC schools. Over the coming days, athletes and coaches from 11 APAC schools will challenge one another, encourage teammates and competitors, and create memories with students from across our region.
Our word at Concordia this year is Belong, and there are few better examples of this than APAC: young people from different countries, cultures, and school communities coming together through a shared experience. Whether this is your first APAC or your last, we hope you take the opportunity to meet someone new, support those around you, and enjoy being part of this special community.
Run courageously, compete with purpose, pursue your personal best, and enjoy every step of the experience. During your time in Shanghai, you are part of the Concordia community, and we hope you feel very much at home.
Welcome to APAC Cross Country!
